Funny how it goes, that for years I thought acting like a goof wasn’t worthwhile. I still did what wasn’t worthwhile despite my views on it, just with a guilty conscience. Joking around, laughing with friends, and telling stories. Maybe now I’ve figured out that not only is it worthwhile; but must be done for my own sake. It’s fine for me to spend energy on myself, as long as I also spend energy on those around me. Whether I’m a joker or not, is dependent on my style. Safe, happy, and kind. Those are who I’ll be when the sun goes down, and those are who I’ll aspire to be when it comes back up.
