The time after a breakup gives us vulnerability, and a lot of pain. Those questions we ask ourselves, baring the weight of our world down onto our shoulders. It’s up to us if we take the opportunity to shed unnecessary parts of ourselves, discovering a freedom that suits us, or to double down and rid us of our earthly selves. What are we willing to part with? How are we willing to live? What are the values that no longer hold a function in our lives? It’s normal to have these doubts. It’s healthy to have these questions. It’s okay to be who you are.

I’m out of evil eyes to steal some other terrible path
No more excuses, I assure you that this time was our last
For every carnival we shared with the bats in the sky
Another miracle we worked just to cover a lie
And we won’t forgive ourselves
For a second nightmare
Tuned to the sense of another
Beating down our battle cries
Feeding our excursion for a
Sin we may never recover
In a plan to purify
Giving us no choice
We angelify
We just have to refuse
our petulant muse
and what it has to say
What we never before
had the grit to abhor
so we begin today
For a little reprieve
tear a smile and let’s grieve
our tortured sympathy
In a fit of fury
We can restore
And burn inside
And burn inside
Before our souls have died
