We’re busting down the door
A masked and marked unknowing shadow
I’ve been here well before
When times were tough and coffers shallow

A salty serenade, I’m singing
Left to right, kept gone
The mem’ry river flowing
Shiver sent along in wrong

The lady in my coat
She all ‘n’ sending me red letters
Pined pulling at my throat
She knows I hadn’t sought to get hers

My melancholic nightmare
Stealing witless, waning, wants
I couldn’t caren’t, heren’t, theren’t
Ceaseless, solemn haunts

I tossed a coin to humble
And it met a sudden end
When plucked and out mid-tumble
Plumb enabling a friend
