Tell me a story of the boy behind the glasses
Sweating off his lashes
Taken by the flashes
He knows he’s out for more than
What and who he first was made for

He could do better than the roles that he was given
Life’s to small to live in
Write a new beginning
Anyway, he’s bigger than we know
He’s on the road to impossible

Who wrote the story inbetween?
Who made him worthy of a dream?
Was it percussion?
Were we fussing over what we couldn’t see?

What’s next, what’s last, oh what a blast
Up and coming, strong and fast
He’s entertaining roles we never thought he’d ever join the cast

And maybe he’ll take your job
Or maybe he’ll give you his
But maybe he’ll raise a mob
Then maybe he’s worth your fizz
So pop him a kindly smile
And give him the time of day
He knows that you’re worth the while
So treat him like yourself
