I’ve been my own for a good long while
Cooking and the cleaning a groove
Hosting all my friends for a dinner alone
When they decided they’d have nothing to do

I ate my feast for king and court
But I knew nothing ’bout the cleaning to come
Food’s been going bad while treating my body right
But I had no idea what I had done

Ants in the kitchen
Dancing’s in remission
Laying down a buggidy beat

Passing ’round the crumbs
Bumping little rumps
What’s better than a 2-right-feet

They go left, right, side-to-side
Nothing but a wiggle or two

Sure, mouths open wide
But stopping just to boogie with you

Ants in the pantry
Ants by the fridge
Chance them a fancy
Shake it a smidge

Bug boogie and bouncy
Give ’em all you got
They came ’cause your house is smelly
So you’d better give ’em all you got

Nobody said that life alone was easy
You got your place, and now they got you too
So tell me, baby
Pick up the phone
‘Cause I’ve got buggy little dances to do
