A feathered friend
A frond! A fern!
This leafy green,
While taciturn
Is rough and curling
Forest sprite
The woodlands’ sterling
Shining bright
If goblin, nissen
Troll or gnome
Would kindly call
The woods their home
I’d ask they take the
Spiral care
And chance they may
Invite me there
