I laugh at it sometimes, because it’s ridiculous. How do we know what comes next if we’re not prepared to reach out and pull it closer? We spend so much time huddled in our own misery, we forget what it’s like to talk to a stranger, then before we know it we forget ourselves. I don’t want to be the downside. There’s something more out there, I just know it.

Find Me
I know it’s nothing but I can’t get you out of my head
It’s like a running joke compiling everything you said
If we were bigger would I try to be another man
Suffocate the silence
Think I got a better plan
You call me crazy through another borrowed lipstick
Carrying the covers like you’re prepping for a hat trick
Was it in the airwaves, was it in my hands
Did I let it slip away, while I’m quietly making plans
Do you think you’d forgive?
Do you harbor regret?
When you turn around
Will you save me? I’m down
Do you think I’m alone?
And I’m burning a bridge?
If I’m holding on
Will you save me?
Another mirror in the nightmare universe
I woke up screaming “hallelujah” in reverse
I hope my demons give me time alone to think
Or I’ll end face-first in a pocketful o’ drink and
Passing signs tell me you’re no good for me
You get me smiling, then I leave high-energy
But when I’m gone, I would rather be alone
Or to pass out on the lawn of my best friend’s home
I can’t compete with tyranny
But if I eat my heart out
Can you still find me?
Do you think you’d forgive?
Do you harbor regret?
When you turn around
Will you save me? I’m down
Do you think I’m alone?
And I’m burning a bridge?
If I’m holding on
Will you save me?
I can’t compete with tyranny
But if I eat my heart out
Can you still find me?
