I hope you’re doing alright out there. Things get a little rough in our heads this time of year. Seasonal depression setting in with each sunset, the chill on the breeze forcing us indoors, and a sickness from exposure exacerbating the mental and physical toll of our daily lives. To you, my dear reader, I hope you’re safe. To you, I share these words.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
My skull is blazing
I’m underestimated
Show me a world that could deserve a little
More of me
My soul is bleeding
From the undertaker edge I’ve been leading
Closer yet and another reminder
Shove me off from the precipice
And when the tide comes in
Let another man take the hit
I’ll hold on for a while
For just another minute I’ll be
Infected with hatred’s smile
My honesty, it
Kicks the doors, let it amplify
Set it in and the musical sin runs rampant
Living another’s life
Insurgency yet
Put the pedal to the metal, I
Want a miracle sound
Better push me around
With my sanity bound and tied
For when you can’t let go
With questions burning inside
Just take your closest confusion
Confide in the household that bore you
My own redemption in time
I know I’ll make up my mind
It’s coming one step, one step at a time
If misery had a name
I know I’d give her no claim
And take it back one step, one step at a time
If you are ever afraid
Just know you’ll end up okay
You’ll get well soon one step, one step at a time
‘Cause at the end of the line
I know we’re gonna be fine
It only takes one step
One at a time
