Cherry here, laying down a mad tune for you. It’s called Lurking by the Candlelight. But first, I’d like to talk about something strong on my chest. Christmas Eve just passed on through, and we’re all happy with seeing our family, right? Yeah, but I know of one good pal who’s had it rough lately. Let’s say he goes by “Steve”.
Steve’s a quick wit, and he loses track of what’s most important in his search for a gal. I wish I could show him what else there is in life, but that’s his journey to have. I’ll do what I can for him, so please have him in your heart tonight, alright? This one goes out to Steve. You’re an inspiration, even when you’re down.

Lurking by my Candlelight
Dear, no, baby, what’s the point of it all
Spending Christmas alone
Waiting up for your call
No one answers
But the candle burning on
Understating is the lamp on the hill
Standing tall with a glow
As the world stands still
Call me crazy
But I’ll sing my lovers’ song
Tell me off
Tell me now
Can you ring around my roses somehow
Can the midnight masses treat me well
Will I stay up at night
Struck in tide by your spell
Will I learn
Am I right
If I turn over the cover tonight
Will I find a little lady
One who’d drive me crazy
Lurking by my candlelight
Playing chicken by the trolley rail
Were you riding it here
While it charges at snail
Takes forever
But I’m sure I’ll fly away
Passersby would think I’m nuts and a half
But it’s better than losing
To volts in a bath
No recitals
But I’m passing my minutes anyway
Is it any-
Body’s care
If I’m found out in a ditch somewhere
Is it me or is it we who I’ve long lost
Is it heartache
If there’s none
And if it’s found in the barrel at 1
If you meet me on my way
Sing when you stay
Tell me off
Tell me now
Can you ring around my roses somehow
Can the midnight masses treat me well
Will I stay up at night
Struck in tide by your spell
Will I learn
Am I right
If I turn over the cover tonight
Will I find a little lady
One who’d drive me crazy
Lurking by my candlelight
Will I find a little lady
One who’d drive me crazy
Lurking by my candlelight
