“It feels an awful lot like flying”
Said the eagle to the bees
Because he never saw them,
Far beyond the grass and trees
But while the bees, they shared their honey
Out of kindness, gentle hands
They never wanted more than smiles
From their new, toothless, feathered friend

Why do expectations
Weigh me down, weigh me down
I can’t compare our nations
Nor the studs in our hometowns

Why do not lift us up
From the start
Why do I still see me crying
Visions in the dark

The bear then asked the eagle
What it saw, and what it heard
They knew not one-another
But in passing, shared a word
They tried to make it friendly
So the eagle shared a tip
He said he knew good honey
Now the bear knows where it’s hid

Why do separate people
Try to hide away their pain
We’re everything we need, but we
Surrender to the rain

Why do we collaborate
With one hand ‘hind our backs
The climate of our calculations
Fade us all to black

What then is simple to a storm
Who then will hold you, keep you warm
Why am I a heart attack if we can’t never care
Will you forget the flowers
Were you ever there?
