I haven’t been this way with anyone who calls my name
More than the butterflies, my all is just a moth to flame
Yeah, I’ve been thinking ’bout it
No other way about it

You were a glass of water I’d keep sipping on the lawn
And while we’re lying there I wouldn’t care what’s going on
Long as my arm around your hips
You’d put your finger to my lips

And you’d say
“Don’t tell me where you’re from, or places that you’ve been”
“I’ve waited far and long to love the moment you walked in”
Maybe I’m the only one who’s gonna get this lucky
But I’ll stay quiet long as I’ alive

Our emerald nights, by the fire in our eyes
Were all we needed, found us walking side by side
And if life was meant for us or we were meant for more
We’ll find it by the count of four

Right as rain and sure as sand, the wind would pick us up
And nervous, did I understand- the old Corolla’s stuck
But maybe that’s just how it went, and I was simply thundersent
But all I ever wanted was you

And you’d say
“Don’t tell me where you’re from, or places that you’ve been”
“I’ve waited far and long to love the moment you walked in”
Maybe I’m the only one who’s gonna get this lucky
But I’ll stay quiet long as I’m alive
