Relationship advice? Here we go!
I’ve a history of falling in love quickly. Thanks to that, I’ve gotten into trouble a few times with my partner. Maybe it’s strange, but I push myself to be a little more intimate than I’m otherwise comfortable with– just a little! I feel that getting out of our comfort zone one step at a time is a decent approach to personal growth. It’s easier paired with something to do every day, so as not to pin all your projects as a person instead of inanimate extensions of yourself.
But there are so many problems with my partner!
Honestly. When you start viewing your partner as a personal project, you’re just looking for problems. Their freedom of choice and freedom of discovery is critical, but do not direct them how to live their lives! Truth be told, if you address another person with those goals toward their personal progress, while it is an act of kindness, it’s also one that points out their flaws. It’s a line between coaching and reprimanding that turns a relationship founded on equality, into one of a master and servant.
Ultimately, the best result in a happy relationship, is one where each party is recognized for their strengths, rather than required for co-existence. After all, if you want to be together in sickness and in health, you both need to be able to support each other when one of you is weak. Whether with the best intents or not, try to be less heavy-handed with your loved ones, because real social interaction leaves space for both partners.
Then, on with the show!
Ever hear the album Strange Desire by Bleachers? It’s such an incredible album! This lyrical set is inspired by Rollercoaster, found in that same album. When you have a chance, I highly recommend checking it out.
Just as well, in the same album, I Wanna Get Better helped me last summer in my adventure to California. I had so much to learn from that, and I can hardly wait to learn more every day! Well, without much more, here’s my song inspired by Rollercoaster. A cover, really.

Heartthrob Hurricane
I think about it when I close my eyes
My shuttered heart never saw it come close
And when you turned away to say goodbye
It’s like I saw you for your reverent ghost
The summer heat is baring down like a fever and I
Know, how I know, getting ready to receive her and no
What’s the point of the shame?
I’m a picture of a portrait in a heartthrob hurricane
Leave it up to fate yeah
It’s more than I can take there
The door looks like a window
Wherever the winds blow
I’ll be wherever
Let the wind blow
I’ll be whatever
Let the wind blow
And I know
We’re blowing up the sky
Just you and I
And whenevery time I see your face
You take me dancing to the faraway place
And sure as certain as I was about you
It’s in the rhythm of the things that you do
You get me jumping
Get my heartbeat running
To the road where we met
Can’t forget
The life of me knows
Maybe changing my name
For the time of our lives
Was a heartthrob hurricane
Leave it up to fate yeah
It’s more than I can take there
The door looks like a window
Wherever the winds blow
I’ll be wherever
Let the wind blow
I’ll be whatever
Let the wind blow
And I know
We’re blowing up the sky
Just you and I
