Self care is in the forefront of our masses minds, but what does it mean to you? I think about it at the end of a long day; what do I want to give myself? Is it a snack, a pale ale, a quiet moment with relaxing ambience? Maybe I just want to tell a story… here’s mine, with love, to you.

Self Care Saturday

If you think you’re at the edge of
Where you came and where you go
Take a listen to the oxygen
And where your feelings flow

The aching and anxiety
The burdens that you bear
Are all a sickly symphony
That trickle from your hair

They come with cries and culture
Claiming you just need to cope
They mix along with oils
And they slap away the soap

But steel yourself to steam yourself
And smile in the bath
Take refuge there and clean yourself
With bubbles and a laugh

After the Bubbles Float

Well-rested? I hope you are. If there is even a slight chance you need a helping hand, I have a recommendation. Please take a listen to this. We are not affiliated, but this hour of audio helps me when I need to focus on my breathing.

Think about who you are in your most grateful of moments. Think about your hopeful present, and what motivates you to be the best version of yourself. That’s the person you ought see in yourself. That’s the person you ought put first. Thank you for your time, and good night.
