Everybody in high stress go about their days as if they have something to prove. As if they need to tell everybody they meet, “don’t mess with me!” My family taught me long ago the importance of taking your time to understand what you’re working with before delving into a solution. There’s nothing as embarrassing as leading a group into shared failure before realizing you never wanted to be there.
Take a vacation when you need, and remember that a little re-framing can change what was thought to be a dire strait. It can even change work into vacation if you set your mind right. Re-assess your work responsibilities, and then check with others in your field to find possible routes. You have the power, so take control. But first, relax.
