When was the last time you were genuinely excited to leave your bedroom to get something done? For me, I’ve been upping my workout routine lately, so I need a lot more protein than I used to eat. I know it’s simple, I know it’s strange, but I get really excited when I know there’s a protein bar waiting for me in the pantry. For flavor and texture, I recommend Think bars. For price efficiency, I recommend just getting a blender and doing something completely different.
Today’s breakfast was a protein shake.
- 2 bananas
- 2 cups milk
- 1 cup blueberries
- 1 cup blackberries
- 4 Tablespoons non-specific protein powder
- 1 Quest protein shake because I can’t get enough
If you’re going to replicate it, be sure to add the protein powder as the topmost dry ingredient. If you don’t, the blender may end up trying for a batter, and burning out its motor. Believe me, I’ve been there. I sure felt silly.
