We spend our lives looking for meaning, looking for answers, for an outside influence to change our decisions. As if this outside force can determine who we are and what our values are. The answers we seek are often the ones we’ve been ignoring our own selves shouting from within. They may not be the answers we’ve hoped for. They may present more work than solution. But if we want to find the complete path, rather than our own selves, aren’t we more sheep than shepherd?

Tell Me Answers
Doctor Dear,
I am back again
I’ve been looking for an answer
Written for an end
What I want today
Is a piece of mind
Tell me, Doctor Dear
Is it hard to find
Hard to find
Call me out impervious
I’m a-looking for some answers
(looking for some answers)
I’m on the lookout for eternity
Scatter sand upon my embers
(sand upon my embers!)
What I want from you
is nothing as much as you’ve promised
And I’m here to collect it anyway
From every word you say
Tell me I’m an evil man
Tell me I’m up to no good
Tell me I’m an entity
Doing everything but what I should
Tell me in earnest now
I’m stuck on my baited breath
But break it to me gently
If you can see I don’t have nothing left
