Stuck in the evening
Brooding over bottlecaps
Think that they feel it?
The moment when the metal snaps
And I can’t remember who it was
But now I’m falling down because
The woman that I knew
Is learning to fly

Taste of a whiskey
Can’t even make the letters out
Blurry and easy
Humming what the song’s about
I swear I see it clean as grass
But I’m hung up on winter’s lass
With summer on the land
I’m trying to fly

With summer on the land
I’m trying to fly

I love writing these short songs. Whenever I want to destress, this is what calms me down. But, it gets hard sometimes, doesn’t it? Take some time for yourself, alright? It’s just a lot to handle. Hey, when was the last time you had some tea? No, no, none of that “I’m not a tea guy” badass talk. Take a moment to appreciate yourself and the work you do, alright?
